Important Program Changes

In addition, the grant portion of the My Safe Florida Home Program has been re-funded for the next fiscal year and will reopen the grant approval process starting on July 1st, 2024 using a tiered approach to prioritize low and moderate-income Floridians who are age 60 and older. Here’s a quick look at the prioritization and start dates:

July 1st: Low-Income Homeowners 60 and Older May Apply First
July 16th: Low-Income Homeowners May Apply
July 31st: Moderate-Income Homeowners 60 and Older May Apply
August 15th: Moderate-Income Homeowners May Apply
August 31st: All Other Eligible Homeowners May Apply

If you’ve already had your free inspection, we are requesting that you log into your portal account to answer a few questions. We recommend you submit this information by June 28th, 2024.
